START A CHAPTER IN YOUR AREA
To facilitate Chapter status, the Executive Board of AATA and the Assembly of Chapters have established the following requirements and procedures, which shall be followed in all application packets:
- The Association shall submit a statement signed by (2/3) of its membership which reflects the intent to become a Chapter. (Membership list must accompany this statement and members must also be members of AATA.)
- The Association shall submit to the Speaker of the Assembly of Chapters copies of Constitution and/or Bylaws, copies of incorporation documents and any other pertinent documents.
- A list of officers of the local association and their terms of office shall be submitted.
- Name and address of member delegate and alternate delegate to be appointed to the Assembly of Chapters.
- Notarization of Application.
This information shall accompany specific documentation requested in the application for Chapter status, which shall be submitted to the Speaker, in care of the National Office, address listed below, in quadruplicate. The application will be reviewed and recommendations will be submitted to the Executive Board of AATA for action. All decisions resulting will be conveyed by the Board or its delegate to the local association.
