2nd International Arts Therapies Conference - Prague
Conference Theme: "Fundamental issues surrounding the Art Therapies"
June 21-22, 2013
The 2nd International Arts Therapies Conference „A Space for Art Therapies II." will be held in Prague from 21st June to 22nd June 2013, and is a collaboration between the four professional associations - The Czech Art Therapy Association, The Czech Dance and Movement Therapy Association TANTER, The Association of Dramatherapists Czech Republic and The Music Therapy Association of the Czech Republic. This event follows the successful collaboration of our first conference in 2010.

Art Therapy: Self-Expression and Healing

We are pleased to announce Harriet Wadeson, Ph.D., ACSW, LCSW, ATR-BC, HLM, pioneer in the art therapy profession, as 2013 keynote speaker and pre-conference course facilitator. Dr. Wadeson will focus on the use of creative self-expression in facing severe illness as an experienced art therapist and from the subjective vantage point of her own cancer diagnosis and treatment as highlighted in her recent book.

Deadline for proposals is May 6, 2013.
Proposals that highlight the use of art therapy in the face of illness are especially welcome. We are also seeking proposals on a variety of topics and techniques related to art therapy. Your knowledge, expertise, and experience in the field of art therapy are valuable. We depend on your active participation in order to provide quality and informative workshops, lectures, and presentations.

In the last two years we have developed similar events in Bali with great success that enabled the participants to gather rich experiences and knowledge pertaining to art therapy. (For more information click here: www.arttherapyconference.info )
México is a very special creative place and we foresee a large participation from various countries. We have already received many requests for information about the programme.
It would be a great honour for us to see you joining this event and offer a proposal for a workshop. We think is very important the to have representatives from Australia, at this Symposium.

2014 CONFERENCE FAQs
What are the dates? February 7th (5pm departure)-10th (8am arrival); Guests are advised to arrive 2 hours prior to departure or at 3pm.
Where will the cruise will go? Nassau/ Bahamas
How the payment will be set up for the conference? FATA has reserved cabins under the name: FLORIDA ART THERAPY ASSOCIATION;
Will conference registration and the cost of the cruise be paid to FATA? No. Much like at the AATA conference, attendees are responsible for making a reservation at the hotel. This conference only carries the cost of the "room/board." There is no conference fee.
Simply call Ronny Furer at: 954-514-4583. State that you are: 1.) traveling on February 7th 2014, 2.) on the Norwegian Sky going to the Bahamas, 3.) under the group package
FLORIDA ART THERAPY ASSOCIATION
What is the cost? Cost is approximately 287.98 per person for the 3 day cruise to the Bahamas, which includes food/ beverages. The following explains the cost:
Fare per guest: $109; NCF fee: $90; Taxes: 88.98;
Please remember that all food costs are covered with the booking of the room/board. You should have no food or beverage costs with the exception of room service and/or alcohol.
Norwegian has Freestyle Dining which means that there is complimentary food available at all hours without the need for a reservation. However, there are certain restaurants on-board that are nicer and do require a reservation and come with additional costs: http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/freestyle-dining
I'd like to bring my partner/spouse/friend along, will there be a rate for including these guests? Yes. Cabins are a two person accommodation. Each guest is responsible for the $287.98 fare. There are two twin beds provided. Rooms with a double bed may be reserved but at an additional fee. A third person may also share the room. A three person room will have a lower cost, but 3 person reservations must be booked under a different category (see below)
Can I opt to room alone?
Singles within the group must pay 200% of the adult group fare or approximately $486.98 for the 3 day cruise. The most economical option is to share a room.
(2 person total: $575.96; 3 person total: $833.94). To book for 3 people, the individuals would need to book outside of the group reservation under category: I.D. The reservation for our group is currently under I.F. This shouldn't be a problem if the reservation is done in 60 days prior to sailing.

- To secure the best cruise price for the FATA conference, please book your reservation through Ronny Furer at: 954-514-4583 (rather than the 1-800 number). State that you are with the Florida Art Therapy Association.
- FATA will be offering Continuing Education Credits (CECs/CEUs) at the conference.
- Our keynote speakers will be announced by May 30th and the amount of available CEUs/ CEC's will be announced in August.
