Judy Weiser, R. Psych., A.T.R., recently signed a contract with Hakjisa Publishers to produce a Korean translation of her classic text "PhotoTherapy Techniques: Exploring the Secrets of Personal Snapshots and Family bums." She was also featured in an article about PhotoTherapy and Therapeutic Photography techniques (titled "PhotoTherapy: Reflecting on the Bigger Picture") in the June issue of Digital Photographer Magazine based in the U.K.
Judy taught a full-day Workshop about these techniques in Mexico (Nov. 2008), for the Latin American Family Therapy Association (where she also gave a Plenary Presentation to the full Conference) -- and she also gave a Workshop for the Art Psychotherapy Institute of Querétaro. Judy was also invited by the European Journal of Psychotherapy and Counseling to author the "Invited Commentary" (review of articles) for their "Special Issue" in March of articles arising from papers presented at the "International Conference on PhotoTherapy and Therapeutic Photography" that happened last June in Finland. And one of Judy's articles (for the Canadian Art Therapy Journal) is currently being translated into Russian by a Social Psychologist for a book about "visual methodologies". Judy also accepted an invitation to author a Chapter about PhotoTherapy in a new Italian book about "Self-Portrait: Between Art and Therapy" (edited by Dr. Fabio Piccini, a medical psychoanalyst from Milan).
