Legislative News & Alerts

Support the AATA and your profession by protecting art therapists' interests and their rights to practice throughout the US. The AATA Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) is involved with a number of initiatives in Congress, the Federal Government, and state legislatures. The GAC works with AATA state chapters, for example, to help them get licensure laws passed and impact regulations to ensure that members maintain their right to practice. At the Federal level, the GAC works with members of Congress to help art therapists get recognition in applicable federal laws and to educate policymakers and decision-makers about art therapy.
